10/2010 - 1st Annual Fashion Show
This fall, Starward Homes invites you to join us on the catwalk for our 1st Annual Fashion Show at the Garth Trails Clubhouse. On Thursday, October 21st residents of Garth Trails and guests of Starward Homes will be treated to an evening of fashion and accessories.
Fall’s latest fashions from a local women’s boutique will be showcased at this event. Guests can also get expert tips on flattering their figure and accessorizing their outfits.
09/2010 - Casino Night
On Wednesday, September 22nd, from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, Starward Homes will be hosting a Casino Night at the Garth Trails Clubhouse. Residents and guests are invited to go “all in” and enjoy an evening playing Roulette, Poker, Blackjack, and Crown & Anchor.
Both amateur and skilled players can take part in this event where participants earn raffle tickets, as opposed to money. At the end of the evening, a raffle will take place where participants have a chance to win the prize of their choice.
07/2010 - Friendship Festival
This year, Starward Homes will be a sponsor at the Friendship Festival held in Fort Erie. The Friendship Festival runs from July 1st - July 4th and celebrates the relationship between Canada and the USA.
Through this sponsorship, Starward will receive space in the “Marketplace” to help promote our Harbourtown community which is located in Fort Erie. This family focused event is highly anticipated and brings together a variety of food vendors, live music & entertainment, and arts & crafts activities for kids.
07/2010 - 2nd Annual Mixed Bocce Ball Tournament.
Coming up at the Garth Trails Clubhouse, Starward Homes will be sponsoring the 2nd Annual Mixed Bocce Ball Tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday, August 7th starting at 8:00am.
Last year’s tournament brought out teams from the Hamilton area for some friendly competition. With only 16 teams (four players per team) available in this year’s tournament, spots are sure to fill up fast. The $20.00 entry fee includes a barbeque lunch with refreshments along with a hat or sun visor. Spectators are welcome to cheer on participating teams and enjoy the facilities offered at the Garth Trails Clubhouse.

06/2010 - Euchre Night at Garth Trails
Starward Homes recently hosted a Euchre Night at the Garth Trails Clubhouse. The popular card game, that introduces the Joker into play, was the perfect setting to acquaint prospective home buyers with the Garth Trails community. Members of the Garth Trails Euchre Club generously opened their scheduled night to accommodate guests who were interested in experiencing the Clubhouse firsthand.
After each game, players rotated both tables and partners giving everyone an opportunity to mingle. Guests were exposed to the true sense of community offered at Garth Trails. The night was a success and remarkably ended in a tie for high-score.
12/2009 - 3RD ANNUAL HOUSE FULL OF HOPE CAMPAIGN RAISES OVER $34,000 FOR INTERVAL HOUSE OF HAMILTON
Hamilton, Ontario, December 18, 2009 – Executive Director of Interval House of Hamilton, Clare Freeman is delighted with the results of their 3rd Annual House Full of Hope Campaign. "I am extremely pleased that our partners in the House Full of Hope Campaign helped raise over $34,000 in food, personal care items, toys and cash donations this year” and she added, “In 3 short years we have gone from $5,000 and a handful of partners to over $34,000. I am humbled by the support of our founding partners and many new partners."

11/2009 - Interval House “House of Hope” campaign swings into full gear at Starward Homes’ sales centres
Hamilton, ON – This holiday season, local builder Starward Homes’ is getting behind a campaign to help women and children affected by domestic violence to enjoy a wonderful holiday in a safe haven. The Interval House of Hamilton’s annual campaign, “House of Hope” is an effort to both fundraise and collect donations for the women and children who will be staying at the shelter over the holidays.
Interval House of Hamilton is a non-profit agency dedicated to helping women and children by providing emergency shelter, outreach and advocacy services.
Starward Homes is inviting the public to visit one of its Hamilton area sales centres between November 28th and December 5th to give a financial gift, or donate non-perishable food, personal care items, health and beauty products, basics necessities, unwrapped children’s toys and age appropriate gifts for teenagers. “We are 100% behind the important work that Interval House does in our community,” says Ward Campbell, president. “We encourage Hamiltonians to bring a donation to one of our sales centres…it’s a great way to make a substantial difference to women and children who are in crisis.
